Elysha, born as Raymond Joseph Omundsen

in April 1956, was awakened around

6-30p.m. on Friday the 8th of May 1992,

in Wellington New Zealand, by the Grace

of God, The Living One.

During his sleep state, from the age of

eighteen, he began searching for God

simply because he felt compelled to do so.

That being his primal urge, it drove him

into all kinds of situations and events

that culminated in his awakening in ‘92.

That however, was and is not the end of it.

Since then he has been fully available to

others in assisting them to coming into

their own understanding, chiefly through

drawing them directly into their own hearts.

He has written two other books:-

Heart In Motion ( 210 pages ) $50 + p&p $5.

Can You Catch What You Have Already

Been Given? ( 50 pages ) $10 + p&p $2

˜

"As your freedom is lived by you as the Reality

that is already true of you, then the art of

meditation will become a part of your living,

walking, talking, breathing life." .....P.162

"Obviously, a token gesture at looking will

not change the pattern that you automatically

carry out. To see through that automaticity

will require an extraordinary vision, a deep

passion....." .....P.67

"Your heart will always show you what is

called for, in any given moment and in any

given situation." .....P.201

Excerpts from "Heart In Motion"

"The very moment that you connect to your

trueness you enter your freedom. The moment

that you find yourself letting it go again and you

are back in the prison of your own making." .....P.7

"Meditation is mind turning towards its own source"

.....P.44

"Dancing this dance brings you tremendous joy,

thrilling you from inside out with the grace of Life."

Excerpts from "Can You Catch What You

Have Already Been Given?

It was an overcast day, the wind blowing with gusto. The aerial was squeaking, as it does in such winds. The sun was breaking through periodically, casting its light on the carpet, each time lifting the brilliance of the room and its colours. Music was playing, a relaxing sound that affected the body and mind. Incense was burning and the aroma of that also had a calming affect upon the nervous system.

It was just another day, nothing out of the ordinary. The beauty of being alive was very alive. This energy of aliveness permeates all of life. It does not await upon circumstance for it to kick into gear. It is already here. If one enters into the reality of it then the benediction of it is felt. In some circles this benediction is called "being touched by the Spirit of the Holy Ghost." It is sought after for its benign influence and feeling.

Many are the religious groups that acclaim the ownership of the way to being touched by the Spirit of the Holy Ghost. They will even say that you may be fortunate enough to be touched by the same but ‘you ain’t seen nothin’ yet’ until you are baptised in their grouping, ....then you will really be touched.

You cannot force open this particular door, even though it is already standing there wide open, awaiting your entry. The ‘you’ that you believe yourself to be is the very thing that bars your way, preventing the very thing that your heart desires.

A ‘catch 22’? Most certainly is from your customary standpoint. A different orientation is required of you and this is, without question, alluded to over and over in all of the religions of the world. They may be telling you not to do this or that, and to do that and this, but this primarily comes about from those who have already learnt the art of being alive and lived those seeming rules naturally, without effort.

None of those rules have anything to do with this condition, it is just the way the heart behaves when it is no longer cluttered by falsehood, falsity and unlove. These do’s and don’ts have been brought into the equation in an attempt to pave the way to your own heart in a much less complicated and more direct fashion. There is a great deal of wisdom in some of it, but quite often it has brought about a lot of conflict, particularly in relation to the masses.

Of course there was all of the politics that became involved in these groupings, always brought about by those who had not arrived at their own uncomplicated and unfettered state of freedom of the heart. Politics never arises out of the heart, it is in diametrical opposition to it. Heart has no interest in power. Hence much of the confusion that exists today. Never is there this confusion around such a one that is living in her or his beingness.

A period of intense prayer or meditation will often open the door into this benediction of where a ‘stand out on your lapel’ level of feeling of freedom is suddenly felt. In fact, any movement where your focus of attention is no longer upon yourself can open the door to this benediction, where you know that you are part of this Great Oneness of Life, where you are totally loved and loving.

You simply know that you are in the right place at the right time. It is felt. It is a feeling and nothing outside of you has the capability of bringing you into this feeling. It is only in the dissolution of who and what you think you are, that opens that door.

When this feeling is not being felt you are driven to search for it by your very heart.

Why? Because it IS your heart. Your heart is the central core of your beingness. It is your bridge to life, your bridge to God. Your bridge to a life of simplicity and contentment even in the midst of the busyness of everyday life.

Your heart is all. Your heart is where your home is and that is where you desire to be, whether you are aware of it or not. All of your seekings and searchings are an attempt to come back home to this already arising love.

Your heart is that very sensitised part of the fingertip of God extended into Its own creation, regardless of where you may find yourself in any point of time.

Whether you find what you know to be you

< because of the inherent feeling of it - and therefore not open to interpretation by others or by the endless chatter of your own head > in a dream state, vision state, out of body state, travelling other worlds state, levitated state, larger than the world state, communing with other beings state or ‘stuck in a physical vehicle with all kinds of feelings that you are trying to avoid’ state.

Many spiritual seekers search for this benediction to happen to them in the hope that their sense of self will be appeased by such an occasion - their sense of really getting somewhere or attaining something - whereas they are simply looking to be distracted from the ordinariness that they feel trapped in.

And trapped in is exactly how it feels, right? Trapped in ordinariness. Let it be anything but plain old ordinary. Please Lord, let me see You, let me feel You, I really want to know You. Anything, instead of the way that it feels right now. There has gotta be more than this, doesn’t there?

And there is. Getting there however, requires your turning around and walking through the doorway that you have got your back towards. To begin walking backwards will be a big help in this direction.

Awakened beings, throughout history, have always done everything and anything within their power to assist their pupils to turn around one hundred and eighty degrees, to set them walking back toward their own heart, til such time that it settles into a stability for them.

Drugs and the alcohol are another attempt to be distracted from this base < and false > feeling of discontent. Alcohol brings about a looseness that easily moves into a haziness where sex and anger are brought to the fore. Drugs alter the state of perception, often bringing about a heightened and exaggerated state of whatever mood or thinking pattern that the user is stuck in, in that moment.

In both cases there is the returning to the ‘stuck in this physical body with these current feelings’ state, and therefore, the attempt to escape the same.

For the spiritual seeker it is no different. Even after all of their heightened esoteric experiences - if they ever get that far, for it takes lifetimes of effort to gather the kudos required for such experience - they are also forced to return to their ‘stuck in this physical body with these current feelings’ state. In other words, esoteric experience is not it either. You see, everyone is in the same predicament of looking for the ‘hit’, the adrenaline thrill.

You can go and climb mountains, get married fifty-eight times, own eight Rolls Royce's, search out seventy-seven levels of heaven, gather ‘bones to chew’ from your teachers and your philosophies, discover the great outdoors, seek public recognition, or tell yourself how happy and well together you are because you have got it all sussed.

None of it is going to make a spittle of difference to this fundamental feeling that lies at the root of your drive to have more and to get there faster. This applies to materialists and non violent spiritualists alike.

None of it is going to make a spittle of difference to your ‘fuck you Jack’ mentality whenever you get out of the wrong side of the bed in the morning, or whenever you happen to stub your toe.

Everyone, I mean everyone, is up to the same bag of tricks. You all go about it in differing ways. That is the only difference. Also, you all think that it is everyone else and not you, that is unconsciously caught up in these rat-bag activities. But you all have your day when you can no longer run away from yourselves, and you weep because of the hurt of it all. ‘Why me, Lord?’ Generally, you manage to keep these moments very private, away from the observation of others.

‘Why me, Lord?’ is all that is left at the end of the day. It couldn’t be any other way. It is this very basic sense of ‘me’, that you currently feel so attached to and identified with, that brings about all the pain and misery in the first place. It is a difficult understanding to come to, to realise that you are the creator of everything that happens in your life. It seems a lot easier to put all of the responsibility on to something else, usually God or his so called counterpart, satan. Even in ordinary living the tendency is to blame everyone else.

There is no God out there dishing out all kinds of vengeful abhorrences. Slapping you around the face for not doing what It has told you to do, as if It has some sort of unconscious perverse inhumane behaviour going on. If this God were made in the reflection of man - as man currently attempts to behave - then there would be no problem in understanding such a biblical type God. However, that is not the way of it. You are made in the reflection of God, not the reverse.

That does not refer to the two arms, two legs, main body trunk, aspect of it. You are a reflection of God in your heart. Your heart of hearts knows God intimately.

- In a ‘knowing’ sense, not through accumulated knowledge -

The daily repetition of a set of doctrines where once they have become so engrained you have a sense of feeling that they are absolutely infallible does not bring about this ‘knowingness’. This is mere infatuation or self hypnotism. This type of repetition deadens the mind, even though it may appear to bring about a certain peace of mind. It is simply a dulling of it.

In point of fact, there can never be a peace of mind, mind is the very antithesis of peace by its very nature. Repetition does not < and cannot > enliven you with the beauty and wonder of Life itself.

This ‘knowingness’ in your heart is full of a childlike innocence, having tremendous intelligence. It is very uncomplicated, full of simplicity, full of feeling. It is the open doorway to unconditional love. It is everything that you seek, that you desire. It is your home. There is not a single being alive within the mystery of Life that is not in touch with this matter.

This ‘me’ of your mind, however, is an altogether different type of animal. It completely revolves itself around itself. It has little or no concern for anyone else. It thinks about itself endlessly, forever distorting what is seen and felt. All associations, friendships, lovers, family and contacts are pulled through the eye of the needle of this ‘me’, perverting and changing everything as it arises into these ‘me’ orientated activities. That is all it ever does and that is all it can ever do. It is one hell of a cramp in the abdomen, if you were ever to stop and actually feel it.

You may well feel that since this is all that this ‘me’ can do then you are just stuck with it. There is no help for it.

When you are running on automatic that is exactly the case.

When you are not giving your full and undivided attention to what you are doing in any moment then that is all that is left happening. Me, and a screaming me at that. Via your endless thinking and your constant belief in that very thought, as if it were true of who and what you are. This me dies along with all of that chatter in the head, paving the way for tremendous freedom.

The only thing saving you from completely sinking with the ship that you keep on choosing to sail on, is the good heartedness that bubbles through on occasion. Those moments where you are not so fully focused on yourself and are attempting to do some kindness to someone else. It is those activities that keep you ever so slowly moving forward toward becoming less obstructed at the heart.

You already have It, and you will eventually come back to It completely, energetically, without any obstruction.

You will once again stand freely as your heart in motion in Life, exploring what is in front of you with wonderment and fascination. Including those areas that you may presently look upon as being worthy of hiding from and avoiding.

It is a very slow movement, this one of growing up. It is not like a lot of today’s latest new age books, the ones that insinuate that you will very quickly and easily give up your old tendencies and very miraculously find great powers and psychic achievements awaiting at the turn of a card, where life’s every move is full of signs, activities and portentous occasions.

It is hard and slow work, choosing to let go of what you are so accustomed to believing to be you.

It is very slow in the gathering, these moments where you are consciously choosing to just be, exactly where you are right now, in this very moment. This is where you are left observing all of the nuances that ordinarily go on without consciousness.

It is hard and slow work to become That which you already are, your unfettered heart, even though It is already the case.

It is a slow haul for the understanding of the impulse to immediately claim that you understand all of this and then not see, in the very next moment, how you return to your old base habit of taking up the arms of your ‘me’ again and continuing to do battle as if it were true of you.

Truly, you do understand all of what is being pointed to here - you are never separated out from your heart, it is in place right now. This message is simply putting into words what your heart already knows. It is just that you fail to hear your own heart enough to live this matter as a constant in your life, consciously.

There is great frustration to be travelled through on your way to this place. That frustration has to be undone. There is no way around it. You will eventually have to sit tight, all the way through it, consciously.

You see, the very mechanism < and it is mechanical, it is not one of consciousness > to habitually grab at, or run on to, the next item of busyness is one which enables you to avoid whatever is left in place if you just sat still.

There is great frustration in entering that place. It is to be ordinary. The drive and urge for the extraordinary is part of the frustration. That frustration is part of what constitutes the make-up of your ‘me’. It is not a part of your heart and to enter fully into your heart without obstruction, you must travel down that road of unwinding the spool that constitutes, albeit falsely, your ‘me’.

Your continual choice in believing the ongoing prattle inside of your head is what creates this spool of frustration. You are not called to undo it piecemeal, bit by bit < and count yourself lucky that you do not have to, for you would be eternally bound by your ‘me’ > but you will eventually have to sit through this area of frustration that you are ever so obligingly willing to side step and avoid. It is in this that your fundamental happiness and contentment lie.

This world of ours is in sore need of the conscious heart to be incarnated.

Without question it would transform the very quality of our existence, just as it transforms the quality of existence on a personal basis when one lives this matter.

When this level of trueness is taken up by an individual, the life of that one reflects the beauty and wonder of the heart.

It is a sad statement of fact that this matter has not been taken up by the human family.

It is a sad statement of fact that religion and groups of good hearted people have not come to this point where the obviousness of their heart has flourished with what is already true of them.

Religiousness, not religion, is required.

It can only occur on an individual basis.

No one else can do it for you.

It is entirely up to you on what you would choose, as it always has been, and such is the pity that it has been the way that it has been.

We are not isolated individuals unrelated to one another.

We are the HEART of GOD, The Living One, as a whole.

Yes, you will return home someday. It will not be because everyone else is doing it as the latest fad.

It will be because it will have become obvious to you how there is no other choice.

This illusion of independence is just that.
