12.25.98:  More Changes Coming to DreamNet
and the Visions Forum

We are doing some major upgrading and construction work on the DreamNet site, to make it a better overall experience for everyone. During this time of change, all your postings to the Dreamings and Visions Forum will be directed to a New Thread. The old Forum Thread will still remain visible and readable as an archive.

Announcements of the new changes to the site will be posted here in the next few days. Thanks for your patience and Merry Christmas to every Divine Being. :-)

11.30.98:  Welcome to the Dreaming and Visions Forum!

Here are a few notes on how the new Dreaming and Visions Forum works, and why it is an improvement over the old one:

With a single mouse-click you can now organize The Dreaming and Visions Forum in three different ways: by thread, by author, or by date of posts.

The normal way to read a forum is by thread, with the posts organized in a staircase of messages and responses. Now, if you want to read all the posts by a particular author, you click on Browse by "author" and only the posts by that person will appear. If you want to read all the posts for a certain day, click on Browse by "date", and the forum will organize itself with the latest posts first -- so that every post that was posted today appears at the top of the list.

The forum also has the ability to automatically archive itself -- no post gets lost, or drops off the end into the void... Posts simply move to numbered archives, where they can still read and responded to!

Finally, the Forum (and its archives) are searchable. This will become a very useful function over time, for those who are looking for comments on a particular topic or dream symbol. Type your choice of key words into the Search box, and the Forum search engine will pull up a list of all the posts that include those words.

There are still a few improvements we need to make -- including the ability to use HTML code in your posts. (It may take a couple more weeks to solve that one.) Other improvements will come as the webmaster learns more about the software code that is used to create this forum.

As time goes by, this page will morph into a little newspaper, with all kinds of useful info, including your submissions. We will especially be looking for dream-related news items, book reviews, and pointers to other great dream sites on the Web.

Enjoy the Forum...and if you have any questions or comments, you can write me directly:
